Throughout our history, we have asked generations of Americans to protect the freedoms we enjoy.  As the newest generation of brave Americans steps forward to answer the call at great personal sacrifice, we must honor them with a renewed commitment to providing the medical care they deserve.

I was proud to support the Wounded Warrior Assistance Act to improve medical care of wounded soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan and streamline the transfer of care to local Veterans Affairs clinics and hospitals.

Doctors and nurses at VA hospitals and clinics throughout the country are providing our soldiers with exceptional care. The problem is they are outnumbered by growing war causalities and need reinforcements to ensure none of our wounded soldiers are left behind again.

Our obligations to our wounded soldiers do not stop when they become wounded veterans. By streamlining the transition process from solider to veteran, our local VA clinics and hospitals can ensure our veterans continue to receive exceptional medical care without bureaucratic interruption.
