Congressional internships provide individuals with valuable hands-on experience working closely with staff in a wide-range of areas including press, correspondence and legislative policy. Academic credit can be coordinated with your college or university.
Who Should Apply?
Successful applicants will possess a demonstrated commitment to community service, leadership potential, academic and extracurricular accomplishment, and strong writing ability. Preference is given to applicants with significant ties to the 8th Congressional District. You must be 18 years of age or older, a U.S. citizen, and a high school graduate presently attending or enrolled and completed your freshman year of undergraduate study or are a graduate student at an accredited university.
How do I Apply?
Complete all sections of the Internship Application Packet thoroughly and honestly. Providing the information requested is voluntary. However, failure to provide complete answers to all questions contained in the application may affect the review and consideration of your application.
Your completed application must be submitted with a current resume and writing sample to be considered. Please consult the Application Packet for additional guidelines in submitting your application.
