LUHR BROTHERS, INC. RECEIVES ARMY CONTRACT
Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Luhr Brothers, Inc., located in Columbia, has been awarded a $7,997,400 contract by the U.S. Army. The contract is for flood control and stone placement for the Mississippi, Atchafalaya, Red and Calcasieu rivers and Old River control channels.
“This is another example of a local company making a valuable national contribution,” said Costello. “The recent flooding has reinforced the importance of maintaining our water infrastructure.”
