Mail delivery to Congressional offices in Washington, D.C. is still delayed due to enhanced mail security procedures put in place following the discovery of anthrax in the Capitol Hill mail system in 2001. For this reason, it can take up to 2 weeks for mail to reach my Washington, D.C. office.

Congressional courtesy dictates that correspondence from outside a member's Congressional District is forwarded to the appropriate Member of Congress. Therefore, I am unable to reply to any e-mail from individuals outside of the 12th District of Illinois.
