Each year, I sponsor the Congressional art competition, "An Artistic Discovery," that highlights the creativity and hard work of high school students throughout the 12th Congressional District. The Grand Prize entry will be displayed, for one year, in the Capition complex in Washington, D.C. and the Grand Prize winning artist is invited to a reception in Washington, D.C.

There are a number of opportunities for grants to municipalities and agencies. These grants are competitive and each will have its own set of guidelines, restictions and schedule. Take this link for a comprehensive list of federal grant resources.
I am often able to provide guidance in dealing with a federal agency or assistance with problems that you may be experiencing. On this page is a sampling of issues for which I can be of assistance as well as links to agency web sites that may provide answers to your questions.
I am occasionally able to accept college students as interns in my Congressional offices. In addition to general office support, interns may assist my staff with constituent services, Capitol tours, and light research.
Pages are students in their junior year of high school who are hired to serve as helpers for the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. The page program is administered by the Office of the Clerk.
One of my responsibilities, as a U.S. Congressman, is to nominate young men and women to the U.S. Service Academies
My office can arrange Congressionaltours for you. Tours are currently available for a number of government buildings, including the Capitol and the White House.
