Alexander, Director, National Security Agency (NSA)/Chief, Central Security Service dedicated the PURPLE exhibit at the National Cryptologic Museum (NCM) located in Ft. Meade, Maryland. Immediately after the dedication the Center for Cryptologic History (CCH) presented a 90-minute history seminar entitled "Pearl Harbor: Case Closed?" in the NCM's MAGIC Room. http://www.nsa.gov/public_info/press_room/2008/purple_exhibit.shtml Hall of Honor 2008 Inductees Five pioneers of American cryptology were inducted into the NSA/CSS Hall of Honor today at the National Cryptologic Museum. In his keynote remarks during the induction ceremony, Lieutenant General Keith B. Its technical name is "Secure Mobile Environment Portable Electronic Device" (SME PED) and it enables its users to send and receive both classified and unclassified telephone calls and to exchange classified and unclassified email. In addition, the SME-PED (pronounced "SMEE-PED") enables users to web browse on secure networks that are classified SECRET. http://www.nsa.gov/ia/news/sme-ped.shtml Center for Cryptologic History Call for Papers The Center for Cryptologic History announces a call for papers for its biennial Symposium on Cryptologic History.
