The White House - Requests for parties of 10 or more should be placed no later than six weeks before the desired date, availability and approval is not guaranteed. Tours are conducted at the discretion of the White House on Tuesday through Saturday mornings. These tours are self-guided and take approximately 45 minutes. If approved, all attendees ages 14 and above will be asked to provide their full names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth and country of origin to the congressional office placing the request. Attendees under the age of 14 will only need to provide their names, dates of birth, and country of origin. IDs will be required for entry on day of tour. Click here for a list of prohibited items. The U.S. Capitol - Congressional tours of the Capitol building are given by office staff.  Parties of more than 15 may be asked to go through the U.S. Capitol Visitor Services using an online reservation system located here.  Arrangements should be made several months in advance and availability is not guaranteed. (A ticket is required to view the orientation film and to participate in a tour of the historic Capitol).
