Fourth Annual Health Communication Conference on November 30, 2005 at the
National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC. The conference, Practical
Solutions to the Problems of Low Health Literacy, is co-sponsored by the
Institute of Medicine and will bring together national leaders and
stakeholders to focus on successful operational models that have been shown
to improve health outcomes among patients with low health literacy levels
and to develop action steps and plans to overcome barriers of low health
