Newlands Project Resource Management Plan (RMP)

Summary:
Reclamation will be preparing an environmental document for the purpose of evaluating options for management of natural resources on lands within the Newlands Project. The goal of Reclamation's RMP is to create a balance of resource development, recreation, and protection of natural and cultural resources for the managed lands and waters. The RMP will outline Reclamation management actions that will be implemented over a 10-year planning span.

NOI published in Federal Register on August 15, 2007. Public Scoping Meetings scheduled September 18, 2007 in Reno and September 19, 2007 in Fallon. Government-to-government consultation meeting in October 2007 with Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe.
