Brown Expresses Support for Pro-Life March in Washington

Washington, Jan 22 -  As the nation today marks the 34th anniversary of the U.S Supreme Court’s decision to legalize abortion, Congressman Henry E. Brown Jr. (SC-01) made the following statement expressing his support for the “March for Life.”

“I applaud all of those who made the trip to Washington today to participate in the March for Life. Human life is a precious commodity that in today's world is often taken for granted. As a pro-life advocate, I will continue to work not only for the preservation of human life, but also for the improvement of the quality of life.”

The March for Life is an annual pro-life rally held in Washington D.C. on the anniversary of the decision in the United States Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade. Later this week, Brown will receive the ‘True Blue’ Award from the FRCAction and Focus Action Council for his pro-life, pro-family voting record. FRCAction, a non-profit education and lobbying organization based in Washington, D.C., is dedicated to preserving and advancing the interests of family, faith, and freedom in the political arena.
