PENCE MOURNS DEATH OF RICHMOND SOLDIER



Rep. Pence listens to troops

 

Washington, Dec 12, 2007 - WASHINGTON, DC—U.S. Congressman Mike Pence issued the following statement on the death of Army Spc. Johnathan Lahmann, a native of Richmond, IN. Lahmann died December 10 from injuries sustained in Bayji, Iraq when a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle.

Pence’s statement follows:

“I was deeply saddened to learn of the death of Spc. Johnathan Lahmann.

“The loss of any promising young life is grievous but the loss of a young hero to our community is incalculable.

“Spc. Johnathan Lahmann was a heroic young man who answered the call of duty. His service and sacrifice will never be forgotten by the people of Eastern Indiana and our nation.”
