H. Con. Res. 218 - expresses the sense of Congress that our immigration laws should be enforced, the construction of the border fence should be expedited, that the Border Patrol should be fully funded, and there should be an expansion of the program under which state and local law enforcement authorities investigate, detain, and arrest aliens who have violated U.S. law.
H. Res. 800 - expresses the sense of the House of Representatives that states should not issue driver's licenses or other government-issued photo identification to aliens who are unlawfully present in the United States.
H.R. 563 - Congressional Pardon for Border Patrol Agents Ramos and Compean Act – provides a Congressional Pardon for Border Patrol Agents Ramos and Compean. Congressman Brown has also sent several letters to the Administration objecting to the prosecution of these men for doing their jobs.
H.R. 997 – English Language Unity Act – requires that English be the official language of the United States.
H.R. 1314 - Photo Identification Security Act – Prevents local governments from issuing official IDs to illegal immigrants and banks from accepting non-US identification from illegal immigrants to complete transactions.
H.R. 1333 – Civil Air Patrol Homeland Security Support Act – allows Civil Air Patrol personnel and resources to support homeland security and border patrol missions.
H.R. 1811 – Maritime Law Enforcement Improvement Act - provide the Coast Guard with greater authority to apprehend and prosecute those attempting to smuggle illegal aliens into the United States by sea. This will allow the Coast Guard to interdict illegal alien smuggling just like they interdict illegal drug shipments today.
H.R. 1940 – Birthright Citizenship Act – ends the abused practice of birthright citizenship by limiting automatic citizenship at birth to a child born in the United States to a parent who is a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
H.R. 3494 - Clear Law Enforcement for Criminal Alien Removal Act (CLEAR Act) – gives State and local law enforcement personnel the authority to assist in the enforcement of U.S. immigration laws, including the ability to investigate, apprehend, or transfer to federal custody aliens in the United States.
H.R. 4088 - Secure America through Verification and Enforcement Act (SAVE Act) – increases size of the Border Patrol, expands work authorization verification (E-Verify) and makes it mandatory, increases enforcement of immigration laws by federal, state and local law enforcement.
H.R. 4176 – Prevention of Unsafe Licensing Act - prohibit a state from issuing a driver's license or identification document to a person unless the state has satisfied certain citizenship or lawful immigration status verification requirements.
H.R. 4987 – Fence By Date Certain Act - require construction of a double-layered fence along 700 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border by June 30, 2009.
H.R. 6633 – Employee Verification Amendment Act of 2008 – 5 year extension of the E-Verify used by employers to weed out prospective employees who are not legally entitled to work in the United States. |
