How can I apply for a passport?

If you have an undamaged passport that was issued in the past 15 years, was issued after your 16^th birthday and bears your correct, current name, you may apply for your renewal passport through the mail.  Please visit http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/renew/renew_833.html for further information.

If you are applying for the first time, you must apply for your passport in person.  Please visit http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/first_830.html for further information.

 
I need my passport quickly!  How can I request expedited processing of my application?

For an additional fee, you may request expedited processing of your passport, which usually takes about two weeks.  You may visit http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/first/first_831.html for information.
