WATTS, CA – Congresswoman Laura Richardson (CA-37) held her local oath of office ceremony in front of Martin Luther King-Harbor Hospital on Saturday, September 22, 2007. In witness of an estimated crowd of over 200, including fellow Representative Maxine Waters (CA-35) and Diane Watson (CA-33), Shante Broadus, wife of rapper Snoop Dogg, various elected officials, and community members from the 37th
Congressional district, Richardson repeated the oath of office that she took in D.C. on September 4 to an enthusiastic audience of supporters.

37th Congressional District setting a record of distinction in having served all three levels of government; local, state and federal all in less than a year.
