The Rules Committee has announced that it will meet the week of January 12, 2009 for consideration of the bill H.R. 384, TARP Reform and Accountability Act of 2009.   The Majority has announced an amendment deadline for this bill of 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 13, 2009.   Any Member wishing to submit an amendment should follow the instructions on the Majority's website.

If any Republican Member is interested in offering an amendment to this bill, the Republican staff of the Committee on Rules is prepared to assist you in ensuring that your amendment is properly drafted by the Office of Legislative Counsel and that it complies with the rules of the House.  In this manner, the Republican Members of the Rules Committee can better coordinate your efforts to make your amendment in order.
