Colleagues,

One of the best repositories of information on GED research,
including GED earnings research results, is the Adult Literacy
Education (ALE) Wiki GED Research topic area:

http://wiki.literacytent.org/index.php/GED_Research

Here, for example, is the Questions section (with answers on the ALE
Wiki):

1. Does obtaining a GED lead to increased earnings?

2. Is there research about basic skills students who seem to have a
fear of finishing (getting their GED)?

3. Are "Fast Track" GED Programs a good investment?

4. How many GED students go on to participate in some amount of
postsecondary education? How many complete a 2 year degree, and how
many complete a 4 year degree?

5. Is there any research out there on open entry/open exit vs.
managed enrollment?

You'll also find sections on discussion, research, resources and a
glossary.

If you know of research that is not cited here, you can add it
yourself (and we hope you will) -- it's a wiki! You can also add
resources and comments, too.
