Congressional Page Program

Apply to be a Congressional Page for the 2008 summer session of the
U.S. House of Representatives Democratic Page Program!

Application Deadline:  March 31st

Join other students from across the country to live and work (and get paid!) in the United States Capitol.

When Is It? and What Will It Cost?  The program runs from July 6 – August 1, 2008.  Your housing, most meals, and tickets to attractions in the city are provided, you are responsible for your travel to and from Washington, DC, occasional weekend meals, purchasing your uniform (gray dress pants or skirt, navy blazer, white button-up shirt, and comfortable black shoes), and spending money.

What Will I Be Doing?  You will work full time in Congress for matters concerning the democratic House Members.  Your job duties rotate, so you get to experience a number of tasks.

What Are The Requirements?  You must be a rising junior with a strong academic record and a strong work ethic.  Do you need to know a lot about how Congress works?  No!  That’s why you come – to find out.

How Do I Apply?  You will need to submit the following:

-a completed application (available at castor.house.gov under “Kids Page”)
-an official school transcript
-3 letters of recommendation (at least one needs to be from a current teacher)
-a 250 to 300 word autobiographical essay to help us get acquainted with you and why you would like to be a Congressional Page

***All completed applications must be received by our office by March 31st.  Please send all materials at one time to:
