Hello colleagues

I want to use this forum to reach many of you across the nation whom I have the privilege of knowing through PD and other initiatives to share some important news about my professional life. As of July 1, I am no longer with Texas LEARNS, the state office of adult education and family literacy. I am now working with the literacy clearinghouse at the Texas Center for the Advancement of Literacy and Learning (TCALL) at Texas A&M University as a PD specialist. I will continue involved in PD initiatives in our state but may not represent Texas at some national meetings where I have had the pleasure of meeting many of you.

In January 2009 I will start work toward my PhD in adult education at Texas A&M. I look forward to continue my professional relationship with many of you and hope to remain active in electronic discussions and professional organizations.

Peace,

federico

Subject: [ProfessionalDevelopment 2336] 5-Minute Feedback on Discussion

Hello again, All,

Your feedback is very important to me and I¢ll use it in planning future discussion activities. Please take a few minutes to respond to any of the following:

1. What stood out to you from this discussion? Or, what was beneficial to you? Why?

2. Are you hoping to use some of the ideas you took away from this discussion? If so, how?

3. What did you find valuable about either what was discussed, or the design/process by which it took place? What was less valuable to you?

4. What are your recommendations for improving future formal discussion activities?

5. Would you recommend future discussion activities held on this list to colleagues? If so, or if not, what might you say?

-- You may send your feedback to me off-list at: jataylor at utk.edu . By Thursday, July 24, I will compile responses -- without attribution -- and share back with the list.

Thanks in advance! Best, Jackie

Jackie Taylor, PD List Moderator, jataylor at utk.edu
