Bird Run

Description: This campground includes 9 rustic campsites located near picturesque Bird Run.

Location: Located on State Route 92, approximately 15 miles north east of Marlinton, West Virginia.

Directions: From Marlinton take US Route 39 south east to Minnehaha Springs. Follow State Route 92 north to Frost, then travel 1.5 miles east on State Route 84. Bird Run is located on the right.

Season: See Recreation Site Information. Please note: This campground will be open only during deer gun season (11/20/2008 - 12/8/2008).

Facilities: Each campsite has a parking spur, picnic table, fire ring with a grill, and a lantern hookup. There are no waste receptacles. All sites are suitable for the or trailer camping. One set of vault (pit) toilets and one hand pump well are located in the campground. There is no electricity or telephone service available.

Attractions:

Hunting: The adjacent National Forest lands are a popular hunting location. Please contact the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources for more information on hunting licensing requirements.

Scenic Drive: Forest Road 55, which is a gravelled road located nearby, offers a wonderful opportunity for a scenic drive.

Reservable - No. Sites are on a first come, first served basis.

Notes:

Maximum length of stay is 14 days.
There is no trash collection service. Please remove all liter.
