Purchase Passes:

Any of the following passes will cover day use fees for sites on the Siuslaw National Forest.

Day Pass

day pass iconThese fees are charged at many day-use sites, such as boat ramps, picnic areas, OHV staging areas and trailheads. The $5 daily fee covers all national forest day-use fee sites until midnight of the date purchased.

Fees may be paid on site (at most sites) via fee tube or ticket machine -- or by displaying, on your vehicle, any one of the following pre-purchased passes: Northwest Forest Pass, Washington & Oregon Recreation Pass, Oregon Pacific Coast Passport, or Golden Eagle, Golden Age or Golden Access Passport.

Washington & Oregon Recreation Pass:

Purchase Passes:

Same benefits as the Interagency Annual Pass plus honored at: 26 Oregon State Parks, 20 participating Washington State Parks, and 6 Army Corps of Engineers sites, where day-use, parking or facility use fees are charged.

Interagency Passes:

Starting January 1, 2007, a new suite of passes are available:

  • Interagency Annual Pass

  • Interagency Senior Pass

  • Interagency Access Pass

These passes replace the Golden Eagle, Golden Age and Golden Access Passports.

Note: Golden Age and Golden Access passes are still valid and will be honored for the life of the cardholder.

Oregon Pacific Coast Passport

Other recreation fees and permits:

Sand Lake Recreation Area Holiday Permit:

This special holiday permit is required for any street legal vehicle entering Sand Lake Recreation Area on these holiday weekends: Memorial, Fourth of July, and Labor Day.

Campground Fees:

The day use passes described on this page do not cover campground fees. Please see the Tripplanning section for information on fees for campgrounds.

Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) Recreation:

Operating an Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) on public land requires an Oregon OHV permit. This is in addition to any forest passes or fees that may be required for use of OHV campgrounds, staging areas, or sand camping sites.
