Washington, D.C. – “I would like to extend my sincerest sympathies to Senator Obama and his family as they mourn the passing of his grandmother, Madelyn Dunham. There are few things in this world more preferred and welcoming than the genuine love and admiration of a caring and nurturing grandmother.
“Mrs. Dunham played a pro-active role in ensuring that Senator Obama was raised with a set of core principles that taught him to be a responsible, giving and charitable member of our society. She made many sacrifices on behalf of her grandson and Senator Obama is a better person because of her guidance and everlasting support.
“I would once again like to extend my heartfelt condolences to Senator Obama and his entire family at this difficult time. Mariama and I will continue to keep Senator Obama and his family in our thoughts and prayers.”
