Over the next few years, the RRB will be implementing comprehensive Internet
services to expand access to information and to permit our customers to conduct
business transactions with appropriate privacy and security safeguards. The goal
of our Internet services is to provide our customers with the option to conduct
their business with the RRB online. If you are uncomfortable conducting business
over the Internet, the Board's network of field offices will still be available
to provide in-person or telephone services.

A Word of Caution on Security
To learn more about what the Railroad Retirement Board is doing to protect your
identity and the information you provide us, please read the section on
Internet security. The RRB has taken numerous steps to protect your security, but you
also play a role in maintaining the security of your information by observing
the following suggestions:
- You may not always be at your own computer when you request a service. It is,
therefore, important to exit your browser when you are finished so that others
cannot see the information you have entered.
- We strongly recommend that you use the built-in security features that Web
browsers provide. It is important that you enable the security settings and
options that will help protect the privacy of your personal information.
Security settings vary depending upon on your browser you use and by the versions of these browsers. For more
information, consult the help files of your browser software.
