NIDA to Host Symposium:
Bridging Science and Culture to Improve Drug Abuse Research in Minority Communities
September 24-26, 2001
| WHAT: | This September, the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) will host "Bridging Science and Culture to Improve Drug Abuse Research in Minority Communities." Conference highlights will include plenary sessions on advancements and findings in prevention and treatment and the interaction of culture, race/ethnicity, and science on drug abuse research as it impacts minority communities. In addition, the conference will look at spiritual and faith-based initiatives, and the challenges of being a minority researcher.
