As in 1992 there will be a report on the literacy of incarcerated
adults;  that report will include comparisons between 1992 and 2003
using the new literacy levels.  The report is scheduled to be released
in late Spring.

I've been off-list for a couple of months and jsut getting caught up.
I'm not sure if Mark is still answering NAAL questions.

The preliminary
report was quite limited by comparison to all that was released in the
1992 survey. I'm looking for more detail on the incarcerated literacy
rate at the below basic level, which was documented extensively in the
earlier reports.
Is there any timeframe for that release, or anything that mentions those
breakdowns?
I'm doing my dissertation work on basic literacy levels and my subject
population is half in prison and half out. I'd like to use the recent
statistics rather than the 1992 info.
