I wish to join the outcry regarding telemarketing. 1.) I choose to have a telephone for my converience. It is necessary for communication with family, friends, and for doing business. However, telemarketing calls that number 8 - 9 per day is an INVASION of my privacy. It is a great inconvenience to get up and answer these calls. 2.) I support the right of individuals and corporations to do business. However, if I wish their product or service, I can go to them. 3.) The hordes of calls that come in have made me suspect and discourteous when answering the phone to the extent that I even hang up on legitimate business callers. CONCLUSION: 1.) More control is needed. 2.) Better yet, Telemarketing is completely disbanded.
