SUBJECT: Changing the “Made in the USA” labelling practices

[Message]

I recent read where the government was going to ease the restrictions on which products could be labeled "Made in the USA". My understanding is that it will now allow product which contain parts which were foreign made but were assembled in the USA to be labeled "Made in the USA". I do not think that this is right. I do not agree with this new policy. I think that products that are totally made by Americans should be the only ones to carry the label "Made in the USA". Other products can carry the label "Assembled in the USA". Many others including myself search for those products made by American workers in order to support American workers. The new labelling policy would not allow us to do this.

I hope your office can stop this.

Thanks,

Russell Carr
