West Chester University is a comprehensive, multipurpose institution rich in heritage that dates back to 1871. During our long history, we have grown from a teacher's college to a university offering more than 100 graduate and undergraduate degree programs, including education.  As our curriculum and student population grew, so did the University's prominence in the community. Opening our doors for conferences and meetings has become a vital part of our University's commitment to public service. We serve as hosts for an average of 100 events per year serving more than 100,000 individuals with three dozen events returning annually.
