Hearing Topic:
Washington, DC – On Friday, February 8th, 2008, the Committee on House Administration's Task Force responsible for investigating the contested 2006 election in Florida's 13th Congressional District will hold its final meeting. At the meeting, Government Accountability Office representatives will present a final report on their investigation which included their own independent testing and analysis of the electronic voting machines used in the contested election. The Task Force will also make a final recommendation on the contest to submit to the full Committee on House Administration.

Per the Task Force’s standard operating protocol and in preparation for the official meeting, the GAO will informally brief the Task Force with a preliminary report prior to Friday’s meeting.
