FEMA, Home Depot, Inc., Lowe's Companies, Inc. Sponsor Mitigation Exhibits In Napa, Sonoma And Solano Counties

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Home Depot, Inc.and Lowe’s Companies, Inc. will partner in sponsoring mitigation education exhibits at Home Depots and Lowe’s home repair stores located in Napa, Solano and Sonoma counties,

“We encourage those who are doing repairs of disaster damaged homes to come by and visit our representatives that offer advice on ways to build back with more disaster resistant measures,” said Federal Coordinating Officer Tom Davies of FEMA.

Visitors to the stores can talk with the mitigation representatives about measures to reduce damages from all hazards that may affect Californians such as earthquakes, floods and landslides. Literature on these subjects also will be available to take home.

The exhibits will run Wednesday through Mondays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the sites and dates listed below:

Home Depot, 225 Soscol Avenue, Napa; March 22 to March 27 and April 5 to April 10.

Home Depot, 1175 Admiral Callaghan, Vallejo; March 29 to April 3 and April 12 to April 17.

Lowe’s, 1751 E. Monte Vista Avenue, Vacaville; March 22 to March 27 and April 5 to April 10.

Home Depot, 2121 Cadenasso Drive, Fairfield; March 29 to April 3 and April 12 to April 17.

Home Depot 6280 Hembree Lane, Windsor; March 22 to March 27 and April 5 to April 10.

Home Depot, 4825 Redwood Drive, Rohnert Park; .March 29 to April 3 and April 12 to April 17.

FEMA prepares the nation for all hazards and manages federal response and recovery efforts following any national incident. FEMA also initiates mitigation activities, trains first responders, works with state and local emergency managers, and manages the National Flood Insurance Program and the U.S. Fire Administration. FEMA became part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on March 1, 2003.
