How do I apply?

What do I need to submit?

To earn an award, you'll need to keep a record of your volunteer activities and hours served.  Activities may be kept as a diary or calendar.  Or, you can choose to set up your own, personalized online tracking page at http://www.presidentialserviceawards.com/.

To apply for a President's Volunteer Service Award, DOE employees should simply submit the completed application form, along with your record of service, directly to your DOE Element's Volunteer/Community Service Awards Coordinator.

Non-DOE employees should submit their application and record of service to the Awards Coordinator at their nearest DOE facility, or contact Daniel Broehl, Paralegal Specialist, DOE Office of Civil Rights and Diversity, at daniel.broehl@hq.doe.gov.
