Congressman Kanjorski to Join Mayor Doherty on Nay Aug Walking Tour

WASHINGTON - Congressman Paul E. Kanjorski (PA-11) will visit the newly opened Paul Kanjorski Pedestrian Bridge at Nay Aug Park with Scranton Mayor Chris Doherty at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. The footbridge connects the sides of Nay Aug Gorge over Roaring Brook.

Congressman Kanjorski secured a $400,000 federal grant for the restoration of Nay Aug Park after touring the historic recreational area in February 2003 with Mayor Doherty.

"The beauty of scenic Nay Aug Park is unmatched. It is certainly the jewel of the City of Scranton, and I am deeply honored that my name is attached to part of its restoration. I applaud Mayor Doherty's foresight in envisioning what could become of Nay Aug Park. The Mayor's thoughtful vision has provided a peaceful get-away that residents of Scranton can enjoy for many years to come," Congressman Kanjorski said.
