BRADY APPLAUDS CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER FOR WORKPLACE DISTINCTION

Immediate Release Contact: Kyle Anderson and J.R. Crump
October 18, 2007 (202) 225-7476 and (202) 226-3355

Washington, DC (October 18, 2007): Committee on House Administration Chairman Robert A. Brady offered his congratulations today to U.S. House of Representatives Chief Administrative Officer Daniel P.  Beard for the CAO being named one of the top 50 "Places to Work" by Washingtonian magazine.

"I would like to offer my heartfelt congratulations to Chief Administrative Officer Dan Beard for earning this well deserved honor," said Brady.  "Mr. Beard and his team have created a workplace environment that fosters a high degree of satisfaction, which translates into better productivity and the ability to provide better service," Brady added.

"In addition, by establishing the CAO as a preferred employer, this distinction ensures that the House can better attract and retain the best and the brightest talent," Brady said. "That contributes to the CAO's long-term success and will guarantee its ability to provide its trademark superior service and responsiveness."

"By developing innovative employee development programs, providing competitive salary and benefits packages and encouraging strong, positive working relationships among employees, Mr. Beard has created a model that can be duplicated and applied in other agencies, both here on Capitol Hill and elsewhere," Brady said.  "I encourage other agencies to learn from the successes of the CAO and implement similar strategies and programs," he added.
