South Atlantic Household Electricity Report(April 24, 2006)
Data and analysis on the amount of electricity consumed annually by South Atlantic households for each of several end uses. Consumption of electricity was higher in the South Atlantic than nationwide, due in part to hotter summers and a corresponding greater use of air-conditioning, as well as to more wide-spread use of electric heat.
West North Central Household Electricity Report(March 21, 2006)
Data and analysis on the amount of electricity consumed annually by West North Central households for each of several end uses. The relatively small population and low usage of electric heat offset the effects of a cold climate and an aging housing stock on total household electricity consumption in the region.
East North Central Household Electricity Report(March 8, 2006)
Data and analysis on the amount of electricity consumed annually by East North Central households for each of several end uses. The 17 million households in the East North Central States consumed 2.0 quadrillion Btu of energy in 2001, one-fifth of the total for U.S. households.
New York Household Electricity Report(January 30, 2006)
Data and analysis on the amount of electricity consumed annually by New York households for each of several end uses. The most recent survey data indicate that a New York household consumed, on average, roughly half as much electricity as did a U.S. household. The most significant end use was the operation of kitchen appliances.
Middle Atlantic Household Electricity Report(December 22, 2005)
Data and analysis on the amount of electricity consumed annually by Middle Atlantic households for each of several end uses. The Middle Atlantic Division had the highest prevalence of multi-unit housing in the country, which probably contributed to the relatively lower per-household electricity consumption.
New England Household Electricity Report(October 11, 2005)
Data and analysis on the amount of electricity consumed annually by New England households for each of several end uses. The most recent survey data indicate that an average New England household consumes about two-thirds as much electricity as an average U.S. household.
U.S. Household Electricity Report(July 14, 2005)
Data and analysis on the amount of electricity consumed annually by U.S. households for each of several end uses, including the operation of more than two dozen appliances. This report introduces the new Regional Energy Profiles series on regional electricity end-use consumption.
