Advisory Boards

Environmental Management Site Specific Advisory Board (EM SSAB)

Site-Specific Advisory Boards (SSAB) provide consensus advice and recommendations to the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) environmental restoration and waste management activities. The nine local community boards are chartered under the EM SSAB Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) Charter

Environmental Management Advisory Board

The Environmental Management Advisory Board was created to provide independent and external advice, information, and recommendations to the Assistant Secretary for Environmental Management on corporate issues relating to accelerated site cleanup and risk reduction.

Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board

The Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board is an independent federal agency established by Congress in 1988. The Board's mandate under the Atomic Energy Act is to provide safety oversight of the nuclear weapons complex operated by the Department of Energy (DOE).
