In the first bank shutdowns of the year, regulators close National Bank of Commerce of Berkeley, Ill., and Bank of Clark County in Washington state. The ongoing credit crunch led to 25 bank closures in 2008, compared to three in all of 2007.
More Peanut Butter Products Recalled

Kellogg is recalling more of its products in the wake of a salmonella outbreak that has sickened hundreds and killed at least six. Initially, Kellogg asked retailers to pull peanut butter crackers but now it is expanding the recall to include Austin and Keebler branded Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers, some snack-size packs of Famous Amos Peanut Butter Cookies and Keebler Soft Batch Homestyle Peanut Butter Cookies.
Circuit City to Go Out of Business
