Overview: No retail unbundling program is being considered at this time by either the Arkansas Public Service Commission or the State legislature. Large-volume industrial and commercial consumers can purchase their own gas if they can show that they are near a pipeline. |
EIA State Data: In 2006, Arkansas had 555,905 residential and 69,475 commercial customers. They consumed 31 and 31 billion cubic feet of natural gas, respectively. The average prices paid for natural gas purchased from local distribution companies by residential and commercial customers were $14.15 and $10.72 per thousand cubic feet, respectively. |
