Notes: Additional information on the adoption indicator includes the following:

Among the 17 States reviewed in 2001, reviewers determined the adoption indicator to be a strength in four States and determined that the adoption indicator was a strength in 68% of all applicable cases reviewed. Five of the States reviewed in 2001 met the national standard for the adoption data indicator.

Among the 15 States reviewed in 2002, reviewers determined the adoption indicator to be a strength in one State and determined that the adoption indicator was a strength in 41% of all applicable cases reviewed. Four of the States reviewed in 2001 met the national standard for the adoption data indicator.
