Notes: Of all foster care cases reviewed in the 32 States, reviewers determined that Permanency Outcome 1 was substantially achieved in 63% of the cases, and that permanency Outcome 2 was substantially achieved in 79% of the cases. Permanency Outcome 1 measures the timely and appropriate achievement of the child's permanency goal, while permanency outcome 2 measures the preservation of the important connections of children in foster care.
