DOCLINE 3.3 Release

Monday, February 4th, 2008

The National Library of Medicine announces the upcoming release of DOCLINE 3.3 currently scheduled for the morning of Sunday, February 10, 2008. We anticipate DOCLINE and Loansome Doc will be unavailable for approximately 2 hours while we release the latest versions of DOCLINE and Loansome Doc.

Highlights of the release include:

1. Added ability for lenders to receive email notification of new Normal, Rush, and/or Urgent Patient Care requests routed to them.

2. Revised the user interface for the requesting and viewing of serial holdings reports.

3. Within DOCLINE institution record, allow libraries to request their library be set “Inactive” during extended staff absence due to vacation or special circumstances. The new feature provides a more efficient mechanism for your Regional Medical Library to review and process Out of Office requests.

Community-Campus Partnerships for Health Annual Award

The Community-Campus Partnerships for Health (CCPH) Award recognizes exemplary partnerships between communities and higher educational institutions that build on each other’s strengths to improve higher education, civic engagement, and the overall health of communities.

The intent of the CCPH Award is to highlight the power and potential of community-campus partnerships. Through the CCPH Award we seek to recognize community-campus partnerships that:

* Others can aspire to
* Embody the CCPH principles (http://depts.washington.edu/ccph/principles.html#principles)
* Pursue multiple community-campus partnership strategies
* Involve a full range of partners
* Achieve significant outcomes that go beyond a process or a single event
