Cooperative Ecosystem Projects

Enhancing and restoring rangeland ecosystems includes working cooperatively with our partners and the public. This section describes some of these efforts and success stories associated with managing our rangeland ecosystems.

• Cedar Creek Grazing Association
  The Mark Twain National Forest working with the Cedar Creek Grazing Association to restore tall-grass prairie, Missouri.
• Conata Basin Project
  Black-footed Ferret management and rangeland management on the Buffalo Gap National Grasslands, South Dakota.
• Annual Grazing Use Monitoring
  A Forest Plan Monitoring Field Trip with the Spearfish-Nemo Ranger District, Blackhills National Forest, South Dakota.
• Saving Neotropical Habitat
  Continuing program with Cornell University and The Hector Cooperative Grazing Association, Finger Lakes National Forest, New York.
• Management of the Pinon-Juniper Rangelands
  Review of Projects: Management of the Pinon-Juniper Rangelands, National Forests in the Rocky Mountain Southwest.
