At Hampden Sydney College, we believe that Student Governance is an essential part of the everyday life of the College. From our revered Student Court and Student Government, to participation on the Board of Trustees and presidential search committees, students participate in decisions that are critical to the institution. Participation in student elections routinely exceeds 50% of the student body and the leadership of our many clubs and organizations provide a myriad of outlets for the community. Through these many avenues of engagement, our students’ learning is broadened by their involvement in the life of the College outside the classroom.
