Body of Evidence Bob Weinhold Abstract In January 2003 the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released its Second National Report on Human Exposure to Environmental Chemicals, the most ambitious project to date for providing vital baseline information that helps reveal both positive trends in reduction of exposures and areas--such as differences in exposure among different demographic groups--requiring further study. The report also can help advocacy groups, industry organizations, and others better focus their activities on the areas most in need of attention. To fill in data gaps, work is already under way on the next in the agency's series of national reports and on efforts to improve testing techniques and capacity.
