CASTLE SWORN IN FOR 111th CONGRESS
Washington
-
Today, January 6, 2009, at 12:00 p.m., just weeks
before the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama, the 111th
Congress convened to swear in the Members.
"It is an honor to represent Delawareans for a 9th term in the U.S.
House of Representatives," said Rep. Castle. "Congress is facing one
the biggest challenges in our nation's history. American jobs, access
to health care and the value of their savings are all top priorities
for the 111th Congress. Also, I think many Americans are hopeful that
those of us serving in Washington will begin to work together to
advance the needs of the nation, forgetting partisan politics."
Photos of today's swearing in ceremony will be available upon request.
