Millennium Challenge Corporation CEO Danilovich Announces Additions to Senior Management Team

Washington, D.C. –Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Ambassador John Danilovich has announced two changes to the MCC Senior management team.

Rodney Bent has been appointed to the newly created position of Deputy CEO.  As Deputy CEO, Mr. Bent is an officer of the Corporation and will manage the overall day-to-day operations and administration of MCC.  Mr. Bent, who has served as MCC’s Vice President for Policy and International Relations since joining the Corporation in November 2005, is continuing to fulfill these duties. 

Effective May 1, 2006, Michael W. S. Ryan will be MCC’s Vice President for Administration and Finance responsible for the management of the Corporation’s human, financial, and information resources. 

Mr. Ryan has had a distinguished career in public service for over 25 years.  Prior to MCC, he served as Deputy Chief Financial Officer of the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from 2000 to 2006.  He managed EPA’s strategic planning, budgeting, financial management, performance measurement, analysis, and accountability functions.  He first joined EPA as Comptroller in 1997 with responsibility for budget formulation and execution as well as all aspects of financial management policy and operations.

Since its inception in 2004, MCC has signed Compacts totaling over $1.5 billion with eight countries: Madagascar, Cape Verde, Honduras, Nicaragua, Georgia, Armenia, Vanuatu, and Benin.  MCC is also actively engaging with other eligible countries to assist them in Compact development.
