As the November election approaches, we thought Network members would like to know about HealthVote.org, a resource for for health-related ballot measures in California.

HealthVote.org provides information and non-partisan analysis about California’s health-related ballot measure campaigns. Produced by the California HealthCare Foundation, in cooperation with the Center for Governmental Studies, this site has been providing information about health measures since 2004. This year, HealthVote.org is tracking Prop. 85: Waiting Period & Parental Notification and Prop. 86: Tobacco Tax. The site offers non-partisan campaign finance analysis along with independent reviews and spending estimates of television advertising. HealthVote.org also includes in-depth background information, official ballot summaries, news, editorials and statewide poll.

In addition to covering the November 7, 2006 election, HealthVote.org follows the progress of health propositions approved by voters since 2004 and provides information about the ballot process in California.
