Global Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony

Henrietta H. Fore, Acting Administrator for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Gerri Elliott from Microsoft, Ambassador John Danilovich, CEO of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), and Dr. Tom Kenyon from PEPFAR sign the Global Memorandum of Understanding.

In a signing ceremony October 22, 2007 at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, Henrietta H. Fore, Acting Administrator for the U.S. Agency for International Development was joined by Ambassador John Danilovich, CEO of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) as well as senior leaders from the Microsoft Corporation to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) marking an agreement by these organizations to work together and promote international development  in the areas of economic growth, health, governance, education and humanitarian assistance. 

This MOU represents a five year alliance and provides for greater interagency cooperation.
