How is Reclamation becoming more accountable?

Being accountable to its customers, stakeholders, and the public will be critical to Reclamation as it moves forward following Managing for Excellence.  To ensure accountability, Reclamation is:

Developing policies and procedures for the independent oversight of design and construction estimates to ensure successful project accomplishment and maintain credibility with water and power users and other customers.

Improving the process of reporting project financial status to customers, stakeholders, and managers and developing a training program for customers, stakeholders, and managers so that they better understand Reclamation’s Financial Management.
