	Congresswoman Brown to Participate in 8^th Annual Health Care Symposium with Women of Color, Inc.

	(Washington, DC) On Saturday, July 28^th, Congresswoman Corrine Brown will participate in a health symposium with The Women of Color Cultural Foundation, Inc, and numerous other sponsors. The symposium will take place at the Prime F. Osborn III center in Jacksonville, Florida, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The purpose of the symposium is to assist the minority community to augment their knowledge of health care issues. This year, the health symposium consists of four essential parts: screenings and exhibits, adult workshops, and the Summit for Youth, specifically immunizations and school physicals for children. “The importance of health and general wellness cannot be overstated, particularly in our nation today, where we are currently facing a serious crisis both in terms of individual health and in the health care industry. Attendance at this event will arm participants with the knowledge to better equip them to lead a healthy lifestyle, both for themselves and for their families,” said Congresswoman Brown.
