(Washington, DC) - Today, House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers, Jr. (D-MI) released the following statement in response to the Justice Department's decision to approve the merger of XM and Sirius Satellite radio companies:
This Justice Department's record on enforcement of the antitrust laws has been extremely disappointing; it has only sued to block one merger since 2004, so I am not surprised by the decision reached by the DOJ on the XM-Sirius merger.
