A Message from the Editor

November 13, 2008

The life of a new parent can be challenging, leaving parents with little time to seek out important and valuable information. The fun and informative video, Welcome to Parenthood, was created to help you with outreach and education about childhood immunization.

As a health professional, you can help open dialogue, address parents' questions about the risks and benefits of vaccination and reassure them of the importance of prevention. CDC's feature article, Welcome to Parenthood!, is a great resource for you, providing information you can share with parents on topics such as infant immunizations, hearing screening and jaundice. CDC's Immunization Web site offers other resources to help you work with parents to keep our kids safe, healthy and immunized!

As always, feel free to send any feedback, questions or concerns regarding CDC Partnership Matters or the Partners' Web site to CDC Partnerships.

Warm Regards,

Division of Partnerships and Strategic Alliances
